The Heartwarming Car Repair Shop of an Uncle from Shandong

Near No. 22 Middle School in Mudan District, Heze City, Shandong Province, there is an unassuming bicycle repair stall run by 54-year-old Guo Jianxi. Though he has no famous reputation, he follows a simple yet meaningful rule: whenever school ends, he pauses his work repairing adult bikes and prioritizes helping students.

In addition to offering free bike repairs (no parts replacement needed), he lets students call him anytime and welcomes them under his umbrella during rainy days. Students and parents who know him affectionately call him "Master Guo the Bike Repairman." He has become a reliable support for countless students.

A single bicycle, a toolbox, an umbrella, and a heart full of care for children—Guo's small repair stand may be modest, but it provides a sense of safety for many students on their way home from school.
